Albuquerque has general, specialty hospitals like The Heart Hospital,
and military hospitals. In addition, we have psychiatric hospitals and
cancer treatment facilities. There are a number of senior housing facilities
in Albuquerque, some privately owned and others supported with public
funds. Some of the finest treatment and research of cancer can be found
at the UNM Cancer Center and St. Joseph's Center. There are several
urgent care centers located throughout the city to provide medical care
during and after regular hours. The Poison Control Center is open 7
days a week, 24 hours a day, (505) 843-2551. Also, the city has several
large medical centers. Private psychiatric sanitarium, rest and convalescent
homes.
