Albuquerque New Mexico Climate
Temperatures in the Albuquerque area are typical of high altitude,
dry continental climates with warm days, cool nights, and low humidity.
Mid-day temperatures during the winter average nearly 50 degrees and
usually only a handful of winter days fail to rise above the freezing
mark. Warm seasonal daytime temperatures average less than 90 degrees,
except in July. Average rainfall is 8.12 inches per year, and annual
snowfall ranges from 10 inches near the Rio Grande to more than 100
inches a few miles away on the crest of Sandia Peak. Snowfall in the
city is usually light and melts quickly. Sunny days are abundant and
our altitude of 5300 feet above sea level prevents Albuquerque from
becoming too hot.
